Project Overview
Speak & Translate is an international mobile translation application engineered in Flutter and Dart, built to break communication barriers across 100+ languages for travelers, students, and global professionals.
It features real-time voice and text translation, camera OCR for printed signs and menus, document and PDF file translation, and natural speech synthesis playback. Published under Parity Zone across both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, it provides hands-free two-way conversation modes alongside offline phrasebook caching.
My Engineering Role
Senior Flutter Mobile Engineer responsible for speech recognition (STT) integration, text-to-speech (TTS) audio pipelines, camera OCR vision models, translation API adapters, and dual-store publishing.

Delivering seamless, low-latency two-way conversational voice translation with natural accent playback while managing on-device OCR image processing across varying lighting conditions.
The Solution
Engineered a reactive Flutter architecture with streaming audio input listeners, asynchronous translation pipeline with caching, and Google ML Kit vision models for on-device text recognition.
